Lawrence Kubovchick, Administrator

Mr. Kubovchick's lifelong career in Education began with a B.S. in Education from Clarion University and a Master's of Education from California University. He worked as a social studies teacher for seven years and has served as a school administrator for over thirty years. When he's not at CAB, he enjoys tennis, basketball, volleyball, and his family, particularly the newest member, grandson Will Guthrie.

Barry Cole, Assistant Administrator

Mr. Cole served as President of the CAB School Board before coming to work here in January 1999. Currently, Mr. Cole serves as Concord Academy Boyne's Assistant Administrator. Mr. Cole has a B.A. from Harvard College and numerous post-graduate certifications. In September 2008, Mr. Cole completed his certification as a Business Office Manager by the MSBO.

Karen Kubovchick, Curriculum Coordinator

Mrs. Kubovchick did her undergraduate work at the University of Clarion in Pennsylvania, and has a Master's degree in Administration from Regent University in Virginia. She has taught third grade, kindergarten, and art; she was also an elementary principal. Mrs. Kubovchick is an avid gardener and a watercolor painter, but says, "My new major interest is our grandson Will."

Cinda Shumaker, School Secretary

Cinda attended Central Michigan University and Ferris State University where she earned a degree in Business Administration. Currently, Cinda is pursuing her Elementary Education degree from Western Governors University. While out of the office, Cinda enjoys her time at her house with her three children Cheyenne, Kolbi, and Emma. Cinda's interests include photography, budding watercolorist, knitting, snowshoeing, hiking, fishing, and cheering for her children's sports teams.

Christie Meir, Special Education

Christie earned her Bachelors in Kinesiology from Michigan State University, and her Masters in Special Education from the University of Phoenix. She enjoys playing softball, backpacking, snowboarding, instructing pilates, and snowshoeing.

Rachelle Wittenmyer, Drama/Paraprofessional

Mrs. Wittenmyer, a certified Michigan paraprofessional, has completed courses at Southern Bible College and at North Central Michigan College. She has over thirty years of experience as a drama director and costumer; she is also an experienced seamstress and pianist. Additionally, Mrs. Wittenmyer brings a special knowledge of children to CAB; she has served as a foster parent for ten years.
